Pollination & Seed Dispersal

Pollination is not only a fascinating aspect of natural history but also a vital ecological function for survival. Without pollinators and seed dispersers, both humanity and Earth's terrestrial ecosystems would face extinction.

Identify and classify plants by their pollination methods. Then, use the control chart to verify the classification.

The methods of pollination included: wind, water, animals, insects, and self-pollination. The methods of seed dispersal included: wind, water, animals/humans, and self-pollination.

This set includes:

  • 1-page outlining pollination and seed dispersal
  • cards describing the 5 types of pollination
  • 25 pictures of plants that pollinate
  • cards describing the 5 types of seed dispersal
  • 24 pictures of plants that disperse seeds
  • 3 pictures of insects that disperse seeds
  • control charts

The picture cards are in a three-part format:

  • 52 pictures with labels
  • 52 pictures without labels
  • 52 labels

To use three-part cards, match the labels to the corresponding pictures. Verify the matches using the control cards with the labels.

Cards are approx. 3½" x 3½", control charts are 8½" x 11".
