Banana Plant Nomenclature - Cards

The term 'nomenclature' originates from the Latin word nomenclatura, which means 'assigning names.' Nomenclature enriches vocabulary, develops language skills, and enhances the understanding of concepts.

The Banana Plant Nomenclature Cards are formatted in 3-part cards and include a blackline master. The 11 parts of the banana plant: banana plant, fibrous roots, rhizome, pseudostem, leaf sheath, leaves, true flowering stem, fruit (bananas), heart, sucker, and peeper.

Includes:

  • 11 cards with labels
  • 1 blackline master

After the children have learned the individual parts, they can create their own booklet by coloring and labeling the blackline master.

Cards are approx. 6¾" x 4½". Print twice for 3-part cards.
