Vertebrates and Invertebrates Charts & Cards

The purpose of the vertebrate/invertebrate lessons in Montessori education is to help children categorize and classify animals into two groups, those with backbones (vertebrates) and those without (invertebrates), fostering their ability to organize information and develop scientific thinking.

This includes the following vertebrates and invertebrates: living, animalia, porifera, cnidaria, platyhelminthes, nematodes, mollusca, annelida, arthropods, echinodermata, chordata, aves, reptilia, mammalia, amphibia, and pisces.

Includes:

  • 1 photographic color control chart
  • 1 labeled chart (no pictures)
  • 1 blank chart
  • 22 photographic cards (used to build the chart on the table)

Cards with labels are approx. 3½" x 3¼", cards without labels are approx. 1" shorter. Charts are 8½" x 11".
