Blend Letter Mats

Sound games are essential in preparing the child for language. The idea behind playing sound games is to bring to the child’s awareness that every word is full of many components or sounds. Teaching the skills of segmentation in isolation or in combination with blending helps with successful reading development. These mats can be used for teaching a variety of blend sounds, vocabulary enrichment, and sorting & classification of sounds.

The following blends are included: bl, br, cl, cr, dr, fl, fr, gr, gl, pl, pr, sc, sl, sm, sn, sk, sp, st, tr, wh, and tw.

Includes 3 variations of the same mats:

1. 21 sound mats with 8 objects per mat
2. 21 sound mats with 8 labeled objects per mat
3. 21 sound mats with the letters only & individual object cards to use for sorting
   

Each mat prints on 8½" x 11" paper. Individual cards are approx. 2" x 2½".
