Neuron Nomenclature - Cards

The term 'nomenclature' originates from the Latin word nomenclatura, which means 'assigning names.' Nomenclature enriches vocabulary, develops language skills, and enhances the understanding of concepts.

The Neuron Nomenclature Cards are formatted in 3-part cards and include a blackline master. The 11 parts of a neuron: neuron, soma, nucleus, dendrites, axon hillock, axon, myelin sheath, Schwann cells, Nodes of Ranvier, axon terminal bundle, and axon terminal buttons.

Includes:

  • 11 cards with labels
  • 1 blackline master

After the children have learned the individual parts, they can create their own booklet by coloring and labeling the blackline master.

Cards with labels are approx. 4¾" x 7". Print twice for 3-part cards.
