Roman Numerals

In the Montessori curriculum, studying Roman numerals enhances mathematical understanding, reinforces historical context, and promotes flexible thinking by introducing an alternative numerical system. This allows children to explore various ways of representing numbers.

This set includes:

  • control chart
  • roman numeral cards
  • standard numerals
  • written numerals
  • basic facts explaining how roman numerals work

The numbers follow the hierarchical colors in a Montessori classroom (units - green, tens - blue, hundreds - red, thousands - green).

Number cards are approx. 1¾" x 2½", control charts are approx. 3" x 9½".
